Brugge

brugge

I brought back some lovely things from Brugge. There is definitely more to Brugge than just a great thrift shop!  The hat is from Veritas and the little crochet deer rattle from a sweet little shop called Luna Bloom.

Moth Love

moth#1

Because this summer was all about baby, attention for us as a couple was on the backburner. But this July Le Boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary, 9 years together! And this year we  decided on a new tradition. Instead of both of us buying each other gifts, we join forces and buy something together that we both really like. This started last year with our Bananas sign to commemorate the year we’ve had (it too was bananas). So when  Boyfriend suggested we’d do a similar thing this year, I was on board! I really like the idea of picking out something together to celebrate each year we shared.
This year we choose to give each other the Snowpuppe Moth lamp for in our bed room.

Neon Bag Project

A while ago I had a little brainwave about a simple plastic grocery bag and tulle fabric. Instead of it remaining a fictional project, like many of my ideas do, I actually got to work. Experimenting behind the sewing machine is always good fun! I tried out a couple of things, a pink xl version, a green and blue version and a layered version of both green and blue. And after using them for a week they even turned out to be more sturdy then I thought!

For some reason Mini is nuts about them, He drags his toys around in them all the time! He even agreed to model a bit for me.

Pretty Coloured Satchels

It became clear to me that around the blogosphere, I wasn’t the only one lusting after this bag by the Cambridge Satchel Company. Since neon colours came back in style, the company launched a line of their ‘golden oldie’ in bright and bold neon colours. There’s neon pink (my favorite):Or you can choose neon green:And even neon yellow:I haven’t gotten past the stage of lusting after these beauties mostly because they’re a little out of my price range and apparently, they are pretty hard to come by (long delivery time and all).  And then I found these:Another great satchel that is rocking some pretty solid polka dots to boot! They’re by Zatchels.com and come in all kinds of colours and they’re definitely rekindling my love for the polka dot. Oh water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink… Because these fab satchels are only just a teeny tiny bit more affordable! 😉
